1-800-Don’t-Call-Me

8 10 2010

Well everyday it’s the same old thing
When I try to relax my telephone rings
Once in a while I really don’t mind
But now their calling me in 24/7 time

Selling me things and asking for dough
From people and places I don’t really know
Pretending to be a friend just the same
Even though they can’t pronounce my name

1-800, 1-800
It started with a few and it’s now gone widespread
1-800, 1-800
There’s only one answer that I can see
I’m changing my phone number to
1-800-Don’t-Call-Me

From car insurance rates to renewal magazines
Every time the phone rings I start to scream
Contributions, surveys and political votes
I’m going crazy listening to those ringer notes

My caller ID’s working overtime with every call
My in box message list is just off the wall
They’ve gone from my home phone and now to my cell
Welcome to my telemarketing HELL!!!!

1-800, 1-800
It started with a few and it’s now gone widespread
1-800, 1-800
There’s only one answer that I can see
I’m changing my phone number to
1-800-Don’t-Call-Me

1-800, 1-800
( Hi. Do you want lower rates fast? )
1-800, 1-800
( Can we have your extra cash? )
1-800, 1-800
( Is this a bad time? I’ll call back in awhile )
1-800, 1-800
( Don’t worry. We have you on speed dial.
1-800, 1-800
1-800, 1-800
1-800, 1-800
