A Little Snow ( On Christmas Day )

25 12 2010

A little snow, on Christmas Day
Looks so nice as it comes down my way
Slowly falling in pieces of flakes
As it welcomes the World to awake

A little snow, on a sleeping branch
Well worn down in a winter’s trance
A hollow bark brings shelter to those
Brave enough to weather the cold

A little snow, on a bedroom window sill
That keeps the warmth in and out the chill
Inside a little girl sleeps in her bed
Dreaming of the presents and a new silver sled

A little snow, on a splintered deck
That show the signs of a life’s respect
It looks its age, but more today
As the white snowflakes give it some gray

A little snow, on a leaf of grass
That still looks green after an arctic blast
Bending low as the snowflakes rest
As the ground below holds the rest

A little snow, on Christmas Day
It show’s the World in the most beautiful way
I hope that you may experience it to
And that is my Christmas Gift to you

A little snow, on Christmas Day
