One More Night In France

29 03 2011

The air is crisp and the trees are tall
And they sway in the breeze as if to call
A lonely bench shimmering in last night’s snow
Is waiting for me, as if I didn’t know

A frosted pane with a handmade smile
Invites us to stay for just a little while
As the morning dawn hides the last star
Is it time we have to say au revoir ?

One more night in France
“C’est la vie”, a chance
To a place we long to live for
On the Palace Park
‘Mon amie’ let’s hark
To Paris and the City of Light lore’s

A black coffee in hand with croissant
Watching Paris wake up like Debutantes
On the banks of the River Seine
Reflecting life for its daughters and sons

The lens can capture a time and a place
That haunt you with questions, we must face
As the morning dawn hides the last star
Is it time we have to say au revoir ?

One more night in France
“C’est la vie”, a chance
To a place we long to live for
On the Palace Park
‘Mon amie’ let’s hark
To Paris and the City of Light lore’s
